A breast cancer fighter\/ warrior, Susan has been featured in articles on the struggles of those affected by breast cancer in the LGBT community in \u003cem\u003eCurve\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eU.S. News\u003c\/em\u003e \u003cem\u003eand\u003c\/em\u003e \u003cem\u003eWorld Report\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003eCancer Today\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\"\u003eSusan's poetry has appeared in \u003cem\u003eSinister Wisdom\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eCorset Magazine\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eThe Avocet\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eDefenestration\u003c\/em\u003e, and \u003cem\u003eSpillway\u003c\/em\u003e, a literary journal. She has received awards for her silver-gelatin photography from \u003cem\u003eFleisher Art Memorial\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eThe Plastic Club \u003c\/em\u003eand \u003cem\u003eProject Basho\u003c\/em\u003e.
